A video made on our second residential course, ‘As we see ourselves’, showing some of the course activities, and the participants speaking about the course. It includes the Pecket song, ‘Being here, being together’,written by Barbara Callaghan working with Ana Rodriguez, put to music by Mary Fellowes; introduces the workshop ‘Now and then’, which produced a questionnaire on education and reports some quotes from people on their feelings about their schooling. The title of the video came from one of the participants, David Smith, who talks on the video and finishes by saying ‘Am I saying this right? The video was edited by members, along with John Glynn, helped by the workers at a community video project in Manchester.

This video was part of Pecket Learning Communitiy's digital archive, which is no longer available due to funding. The FWWCP Collection is working with members from Pecket to hopefully reestablish Pecket's wesbite, but until that time, we have been able to share some resources here. To learn more about Pecket Well College and Pecket Learning Community, read Telling It, written by Cilla Ross and shortened by Pauline Nugent, which tells the story of Pecket with an oral history from its members. The description for this video was originally written on the Pecket archive website. Pecket Well College was a member of the Federation of Worker Writers and Community Publishers. Please note: Any video use should credit Pecket Learning Community (pecket.org)
